Podcast Editing

Editing a video podcast is never really about the cutting — it is slow to find positions in a long episode, and captions and clips have to be rebuilt afterwards. In Aixcut, the transcript becomes the timeline: delete a sentence and the picture and sound move with it.

Podcast Editing

How to use Aixcut for this task

  1. STEP 01

    Import and transcribe

Bring the episode in and transcribe it. Check names, proper nouns and numbers; this step decides whether you can edit by sentence later.

  2. STEP 02

Cut the structure in the text

Remove filler, repetition and dead sections by deleting sentences rather than hunting a waveform. Play across the joins once you are done.

  3. STEP 03

    Add picture and captions

Add B-roll and callouts; captions share a source with the timeline, so editing the words moves the picture.

  4. STEP 04

    Export and pull clips

Check shadows, audio and caption line length, then export; then cut standalone clip candidates out of the long episode.

Why long episodes want text-based cutting

In a 45-minute episode, if each deletion takes 20 seconds of hunting the waveform, sixty deletions is twenty minutes of pure searching. Locating by sentence takes that to roughly zero — you already know the words you want gone. It is the single biggest speed-up on this side, and it does not depend on how fast your hands are.

Captions and picture belong on one timeline

Rework on video podcasts often comes from captions: you fix the text and the picture does not follow, or the two drift apart. Captions should be editable text rather than a layer burned into the frame.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about this task, its limits and how to judge the result.

Can Aixcut edit a video podcast?

Yes. Transcribe, delete sentences in the text and the picture follows; captions and long-to-short all happen on one timeline.

Does it work on phones or iPads?

No. Aixcut runs on desktop Chrome or Edge and has no mobile version.

What does it cost?

Registration includes trial credits under the current credit rules; exports do not consume credits and carry no watermark, and AI video generation is a member feature. Details are shown in the workspace and checkout flow.

Is my media uploaded?

Media is processed locally and not uploaded. Before exporting, confirm the picture, the audio and the caption line lengths meet your publishing requirements.

Is there a free AI podcast editing tool?

Free status, editing features and export terms must be checked on the current product website and in the signed-in workspace.
