Video Extender

Extend a clip that ends too early, or generate a bridging shot when the narration runs past the picture. Aixcut extends and continues footage in a desktop Chrome or Edge workspace; extension uses video generation, requires membership and adds up to 15 seconds.

Video Extender

How to use Aixcut for this task

  1. STEP 01

Find the shot that ends early

Play the sequence against the voiceover and mark exactly where the picture runs out.

  2. STEP 02

    Describe what happens next

Say what the subject should keep doing, so the extended material continues the action instead of starting a new one.

  3. STEP 03

    Check the join and trim

Compare the first frames of the new material with the last frames of the original, then keep only the part that holds together.

Extending a shot and changing its size are different

Extending adds time to a clip. Resizing and reframing change the picture area. Mixing the two while describing the problem makes it harder to see which one you actually need, so check whether the sequence is short of seconds or short of frame area before you generate anything.

The join is where the work is

Generated material can change the subject, the direction of movement or the background between the original and the continuation. Compare the last frames of the source with the first frames of the extension at full size, and cut early rather than letting a shifted subject stay on screen.

Where extended shots actually help

Covering narration that outlasts the footage, holding a reaction a moment longer, giving a cut more room before the next line, or turning a short loop into a usable background. All of these need only a few seconds, which is why the per clip limit is rarely the constraint.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about this task, its limits and how to judge the result.

How long can a clip be extended?

Up to 15 seconds of added or continued material. That is a limit on the extension, not on the finished video.

Does extending a clip require membership?

Yes. Extension uses video generation, which is a membership capability under the current pricing rules.

Will the extended part match seamlessly?

Not guaranteed. Check the subject, the motion and the background across the join, and regenerate or trim when they shift.

Can I generate a bridging shot instead of extending?

Yes. Extending continues the existing shot while a bridging shot adds new footage, and both need the same check across the join.

Is an AI video extender free?

Video extension is a video-generation task; membership and trial access follow the current pricing and credit rules. Check the workspace before starting a long run.
